Soccer Recap: Fairfield Prep Comes Up Short

Fairfield Prep was the 2-1 winner over Newtown when they last played one another back in September of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Jesuits fell just short of the Nighthawks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Fairfield Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for Newtown, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Fairfield Prep will head out on the road to face off against Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfield Prep's defense better be ready for this one: Notre Dame have averaged an impressive 5.6 goals per game this season. As for Newtown, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Stratford at 7:00 p.m.
