Baseball Recap: Milwaukee Hamilton Drops Season-High Score on Pulaski

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milwaukee Hamilton). They put the hurt on the Pulaski Rams with a sharp 19-2 victory on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Leroy Arroyo-Camacho and Lorenzo Castro made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Arroyo-Camacho struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Castro pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Arroyo-Camacho has posted since back in April. At bat, Arroyo-Camacho got on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Castro got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was Castro's first of the season.

In other batting news, Milwaukee Hamilton got a massive performance out of Donovan Grochowski, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Grochowski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Sadler, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Milwaukee Hamilton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Milwaukee Hamilton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 4-13. As for Pulaski, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Milwaukee Hamilton beat the Rams by a score of 14-0 later that day.
