Peaster had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Tolar Rattlers 34-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Greyhounds had established a 27-point advantage.
Peaster found their leader in sophomore Hudson Salyers, who rushed for 184 yards and one TD while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Peaster's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Tolar's side was Rhett Kelley, who made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception which he returned for a touchdown.
Looking ahead, Peaster will head out to face off against Ferris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tolar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Teague at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
