Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Academy Warriors vs. Gospel Light Christian Lions

Legacy Academy hasn't had much luck against Gospel Light Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Legacy Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.

Legacy Academy is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since November 18, 2024 two weeks ago. They blew past Victory Christian 75-49. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Warriors just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 60 points the game before, Gospel Light Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup back in December of 2024. They had to suffer through a 58-24 loss at the hands of Southwest Christian Academy. Gospel Light Christian hasn't had much luck with Southwest Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Legacy Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Gospel Light Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Legacy Academy came up short against Gospel Light Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 62-55. Can Legacy Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
