Basketball Recap: Glen Allen Drops Season-High Score on Midlothian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glen Allen). They came out on top against the Midlothian Trojans by a score of 77-68 on Monday. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Glen Allen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase James, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. Those 23 points gave James a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Faron Friend, who posted 19 points and six rebounds.

The victory (which was Glen Allen's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Midlothian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Glen Allen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-45 win against Freeman on the 10th. As for Midlothian, they will square off against Powhatan at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
