Basketball Recap: Legal Prep Skates Past Spry Community Links with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Legal Prep). They really took it to Spry Community Links for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-6 victory. With Legal Prep ahead 34-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Legal Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaeterion English out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. With that strong performance, English is now averaging an impressive 3.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Demari Jernigan, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 19 points.

The victory (which was Legal Prep's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points per game. As for Spry Community Links, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Legal Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Chicago Collegiate on the 19th. As for Spry Community Links, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-0 defeat against Juarez on the 19th.
