Basketball Recap: Gateway Christian Extends Winning Streak to Six

Gateway Christian won the last time they faced Cloudcroft and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gateway Christian Warriors walked away with a 49-37 victory over the Cloudcroft Bears. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 12 points.

Leading Gateway Christian to victory were Zack McCracken and Grady Munson. McCracken almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Munson posted 16 points. Munson's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sam Waide, who put up three points.

Despite the loss, Cloudcroft still got an impressive performance from Rylee Pahl, who had 20 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Dodson, who earned eight points.

The win (which was Gateway Christian's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Cloudcroft, their record now sits at 7-7.

Gateway Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-42 loss against Fort Sumner/House on the 16th. As for Cloudcroft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-50 defeat against Dexter on the 16th.
