Durand has gone 9-1 against Mt. Morris recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Railroaders will face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Durand has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Durand couldn't beat Kearsley on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Railroaders took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kinley Shepard and MaKenzie Jones did some serious damage despite the final result: Shepard went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Jones went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kayla Copeland, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Mt. Morris lost 18-6 to Ovid-Elsie on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Marauders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mt. Morris' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Durand, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Durand might still be hurting after the 26-5 defeat they got from Mt. Morris when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Railroaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
