Softball Recap: Moscow Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pullman last Saturday, Moscow came back down to earth. The Bears fell 17-13 to the Lewiston Bengals on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled against the Bengals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Kaci Kiblen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Reagan Hurley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Moscow's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lewiston, their record is now 5-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bengals beat Moscow by a score of 15-10 later that day.
