Baseball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders vs. Calvary Christian Academy Eagles

The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Thomas Aquinas is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Saturday, St. Thomas Aquinas got the win against Saint Andrew's by a conclusive 13-2.

St. Thomas Aquinas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy and Mater Lakes Academy finished up on equal footing with a 10-10 tie on Thursday.

St. Thomas Aquinas' win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs over those games. Calvary Christian Academy's tie gives them a new season record of 0-0-2.

St. Thomas Aquinas came up short against Calvary Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Can St. Thomas Aquinas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
