Basketball Recap: Piute Sets Scoring Season-High Against Milford

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piute). They took down the Milford Tigers 60-43 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Thunderbirds: when they faced off against the Tigers two weeks ago, they had to take a 51-44 defeat.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hadley Griffiths, who posted 13 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Acacia Dalton, who put up eight points and seven rebounds.

The win snapped Piute's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-6 record. As for Milford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piute will venture away from home to take on Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milford, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bryce Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
