Baseball Recap: Grand Valley Takes a Loss

If Grand Valley was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Harding on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 8-3 to the Kirtland Hornets on Monday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Grand Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Kirtland, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 15-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Valley will take on Newton Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kirtland, they will welcome Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beavers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
