Football Recap: Lone Star Skates Past Lebanon Trail with Ease

Lone Star never let their opponents score on Thursday. They really took it to the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-0 win. Fans of the Rangers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Trey Wright, who threw for 325 yards and four TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 45 yards. Those 325 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Zach Forbish was in the mix too, providing Lone Star with two touchdowns.

Lone Star's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Marcel Dominguez and Christopher Knauls, who racked up four sacks between them. Knauls is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Lone Star got some further help from Kaleb Tasby: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Lone Star pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points over those games. As for Lebanon Trail, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Lone Star wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-26 victory against Reedy on the 6th. As for Lebanon Trail, they have also already played their next game, a 41-31 loss against Sherman on the 7th.
