Softball Recap: West Essex Takes a Loss

West Essex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Tuesday.

West Essex's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Mount St. Dominic Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

While West Essex had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
