Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berthoud). Their defense stepped up to hand the Mountain View Mountain Lions an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. It was an even better day for Valin Zahouek-Fredrick as he scored three goals for his team.

The win made it two in a row for Berthoud and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Coincidentally, Berthoud and Mountain View will both be playing Greeley Central the next time they take the pitch. The Mountain Lions will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Spartans will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
