Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Erie

Erie waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eureka Tornadoes. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Erie never let Eureka on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23.

Lila Michael paced Erie's offense, picking up 11 kills. Michael got some help from Kaeleigh Daniels and her 13 assists. Finally, Kylie Hodgden and Andi Nordt kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

The victory got Erie back to even at 19-19. As for Eureka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-20.

Erie has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Belle Plaine on the 20th. As for Eureka, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Humboldt on the 20th.
