Football Recap: Windham Comes Up Short

If Windham was feeling good fresh off their 27-0 takedown of Bullard-Havens last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Whippets were outmatched by the Fitch Falcons and fell 28-0. The Whippets lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 22-21 score last time.

Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fitch, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham will take on Bacon Academy/Lyman Memorial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be the Whippets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Fitch, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Amity Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
