Basketball Recap: Maryknoll Triumphs

Maryknoll's tournament run continued when they took on Allen on Saturday. The Spartans secured a 58-54 W over the Eagles. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Spartans were down 49-35 in the third quarter.

Despite the loss, Allen still got an impressive performance from Cadarian Urune-Williams, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 19 points. Urune-Williams' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mohammed Salem, who posted four points and five boards.

Maryknoll's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Allen, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Maryknoll and Allen will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans are set to face off against their familiar foe 'Iolani at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Allen will take on rival McKinney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
