Recap: Ralston Valley Mustangs vs. Grandview Wolves
On Saturday, Ralston Valley made easy work of Grandview and carried off a 71-48 victory. With Ralston Valley ahead 43-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Ralston Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Trebilcock, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Bahl, who scored 15 points.
When it comes to explaining why Grandview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Riddick. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. Jalen Dourisseau was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Ralston Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Grandview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ralston Valley will take on Douglas County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Allowing an average of 59.5 points per game, Douglas County has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest. As for Grandview, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mountain Vista at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Mountain Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
