There's no place like home for Incarnate Word Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the King Brahmas 4-3.

Talon Chanyaman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Chanyaman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Maddox Luera was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.

The win got Incarnate Word Academy back to even at 1-1. As for King, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Incarnate Word Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Orange Grove at 1:00 p.m. on March 8th. As for King, they will take on Ingleside at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
