Basketball Game Preview: Chapel Hill Red Devils vs. New Diana Eagles

The Chapel Hill Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the New Diana Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Chapel Hill is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Jefferson on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Chapel Hill took a blow against Jefferson, falling 54-24. The Red Devils were down 39-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, New Diana was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 43-37 to Hughes Springs.

New Diana has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season. As for Chapel Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-18.

Chapel Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their game against New Diana when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 30-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chapel Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
