Baseball Recap: DeSales Takes a Loss

DeSales dropped their record down to 15-16 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Central Hardin Bruins by a score of 5-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 9-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2019.

As for Central Hardin, they moved to 13-18 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 22nd.

For Central Hardin's part, Jordan Bailey looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Bailey has become a key player for the Bruins: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-16 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Central Hardin let Kellen Brandenburg and Caleb Irwin run wild.
