Baseball Recap: St. Monica Comes Up Short

The St. Monica Mariners lost 10-2 to the North Saxons on Friday. The Mariners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Monica saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edvin Samayoa, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Monica's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for North, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9.

St. Monica didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-2 win against Lennox Academy on the 7th. As for North, they have also already played their next contest, a 20-2 victory against Hawthorne on the 7th.
