Baseball Recap: Walsingham Academy Comes Up Short

Walsingham Academy fell victim to Cape Henry Collegiate and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Walsingham Academy's loss dropped their record down to 16-10-1. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

Coming up, Walsingham Academy will square off against Broadwater Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.56 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-0 win against Steward on the 9th.
