Football Game Preview: Guilford Grizzlies vs. Stamford Black Knights

The Guilford Grizzlies will face off against the Stamford Black Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Guilford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 24-20 to Cheshire.

Despite the loss, Guilford got top-tier performance from Aiden Ruotolo, who rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Alex Tafro, who threw for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Stamford took a blow against Staples on Friday, falling 49-6. The Black Knights haven't had much luck with the Wreckers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Stamford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Guilford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
