Basketball Recap: New Ulm Takes a Loss

New Ulm was the 83-75 winner over Waseca when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The New Ulm Eagles received a blow on Friday as they fell 80-64 to the Waseca Bluejays. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

New Ulm's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Waseca, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

New Ulm and Fairmont will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waseca, they will be home for the holidays to greet Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Waseca's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
