Bible Baptist Christian had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.9 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They blew past the First Baptist Academy Lions 64-39. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Bible Baptist Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mikahil Mathieu, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Mathieu a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Michael Greene, who posted 20 points.

Bible Baptist Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 26 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Bible Baptist Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for First Baptist Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Bible Baptist Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-55 win against Central Christian Academy on the 30th. As for First Baptist Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Colonial Christian at 4:00 p.m. on February 11th.
