Crest put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Yates Center Wildcats with a sharp 19-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 on Thursday.

Kade Nilges and Henry White did most of the damage at the plate: Nilges went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while White scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Nilges is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in five or more in each of the last three games he's played. Drake Weir was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Crest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .314 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Crest's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Yates Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
