Volleyball Recap: Houston Starts Season with Win Against Lausanne Collegiate

Houston gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Houston was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-19.

Sydni Vice paced Houston's offense, picking up ten kills. Vice got some help from Ansley Pardue and her 19 assists. Pardue was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lausanne Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Houston will be playing at home against Munford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they will head out to face off against White Station at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
