Football Recap: Crawford Colts vs. Mountain Empire Redhawks
While Crawford put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Mountain Empire. The Crawford Colts simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mountain Empire Redhawks 35-0 on the road. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Colts this season.
Philip Huynh was his usual excellent self, throwing for 189 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. A healthy portion of that aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Trevon Blanks, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
The victory made it two in a row for Crawford and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Mountain Empire, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Crawford will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bonita Vista at 6:30 p.m. on September 27th. As for Mountain Empire, they will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week.
