Volleyball Recap: Walled Lake Northern Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Northern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Grosse Pointe South scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Walled Lake Northern's loss dropped their record down to 19-16-1. As for Grosse Pointe South, their win bumped their record up to 14-17-2.

Coincidentally, Walled Lake Northern and Grosse Pointe South will both be playing Novi the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
