Softball Recap: Amanda-Clearcreek Aces vs. Circleville Tigers
Amanda-Clearcreek lost against Circleville on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Aces fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4. The Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Makenna Singleton put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Singleton was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Singleton wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Casadee Steinmetz, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Amanda-Clearcreek's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Circleville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Amanda-Clearcreek will take on rival Fairfield Union at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Circleville is set to face off against their familiar foe Logan Elm at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
