Basketball Recap: Tri Titans vs. Greenfield-Central Cougars
If Tri was riding high fresh off their 55-15 takedown of Cambridge City Lincoln last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tri Titans took a blow against the Greenfield-Central Cougars on Friday, falling 65-37. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Titans, who until this match were averaging 29.22 points allowed.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jillian Chew, who posted 12 points and four steals. Chew is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakaya Cridge, who earned six points and seven rebounds.
Madison Sonsini was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds for Greenfield-Central. Brooklyn Mcconnell was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points.
Tri's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Greenfield-Central, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Union County at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. As for Greenfield-Central, they will challenge New Palestine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
