Football Recap: East St. Louis Takes a Loss

After soaring to 40 points the game before, East St. Louis was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against the Belleville East Lancers, falling 32-12.

Deasia Willis had another great game (as she tends to do), rushing for 137 yards and three scores on only ten carries, while also catching one touchdown for Belleville East.

East St. Louis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Belleville East, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East St. Louis will square off against rival Mascoutah at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Belleville East is set to challenge their familiar foe Richwoods at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
