Football Recap: Clear Creek Beats Byers for Their Third Straight Win

Clear Creek and Byers pushed the score to 48-18 the last time they played Byers, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Golddiggers managed a 14-8 win over the Bulldogs. For the Golddiggers, this counts as revenge for the 48-18 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Clear Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Guerrero, who rushed for 95 yards on only 11 carries. Guerrero was even better on defense, picking up a sack and making 16 total tackles.

Despite the loss, Byers still got an impressive performance from Gabe Price, who rushed for 170 yards and one score. Price is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 120 every time he's taken the field this season.
