Football Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Garden Valley Wolverines and fell 74-6. The Ramblers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 61-0.

When it comes to explaining why Cascade lost, don't look at Owen Howlett. Despite the final result, he rushed for 168 yards and one score while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Howlett's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Garden Valley, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Cascade will be playing in front of their home fans against Salmon River at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Ramblers will need to watch out since the Savages have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. As for Garden Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Oakley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
