Basketball Game Preview: Gorton Wolves vs. Riverside Rams

Having just played yesterday, the Gorton Wolves will get right back to it and host the Riverside Rams at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Gorton's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Riverside has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Gorton will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Sleepy Hollow, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Gorton walked away with a 47-40 win over Sleepy Hollow on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Riverside had to endure a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Barack Obama School for Social Justice by a score of 44-32 on Thursday. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Gorton better focus on containing Nyleen Rivera and Jada Gonzalez as the pair were huge in Riverside's win. Rivera posted 16 points, while Gonzalez had 15 points. Another player making a difference was Shekinah Coleman, who put up 13 points.

The victory got Gorton back to even at 2-2. As for Riverside, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
