Softball Recap: Snohomish Beats Inglemoor for Their Ninth Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Snohomish rose to the challenge on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Inglemoor Vikings a 1-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

The result came thanks to Abby Edwards's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Snohomish saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelie Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Snohomish's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Inglemoor, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11-1.

Snohomish does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Inglemoor has already played their next game (against Mt. Spokane), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
