            Football Recap: Covenant Christian Cougars vs. Central Texas Christian Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Covenant Christian lost against Central Texas Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Cougars had to suffer through  a    49-8 loss at the hands of the Lions. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  35-0.

 When it comes to explaining why Covenant Christian lost, don't look at  Preston VanHouse. Despite the final result, he rushed for 183 yards and one  touchdown while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.  Brady McDaniel also helped out with an impressive 96  receiving yards.
Covenant Christian is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5. As for Central Texas Christian, their win was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Covenant Christian is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Brazos Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 31st. Meanwhile, Central Texas Christian will  square off against  rival Sacred Heart  at 2:00  p.m.  on November 1.
