MaxPreps Regional High School Football Computer Rankings

Wayne takes over top spot in Midwest, only new No. 1 team.

After six new No. 1 teams over the past two weeks, there was only one change atop any of the five regions in the MaxPreps Regional Football Computer Rankings this week.

Wayne (Huber Heights, Ohio) defeated previous No. 1 Colerain (Cincinnati) to take over the top spot in the Midwest Rankings.

Staying No. 1 this week include Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) in the Northeast, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) in the West, Allen (Texas) in the Southwest and DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) in the South.



The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. For the purposes of these rankings, the country was broken down into five regions:

West: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.

Southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Midwest: Arkansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

South: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Northeast: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware and Vermont.
