Football Game Preview: Lisbon Broncos vs. Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros

The Lisbon Broncos will face off against the Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Lisbon's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg/Finley-Sharon with a sharp 26-0 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillsboro/Central Valley). They claimed a resounding 30-0 victory over Sargent County. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Hillsboro/Central Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.5 points on average over those games. As for Lisbon, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Lisbon didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hillsboro/Central Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 22-18 win.
