Baseball Recap: Hudson's Bay Comes Up Short

Hudson's Bay lost against Ridgefield last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Spudders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hudson's Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Hewett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Hudson's Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ridgefield, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5.

Coming up, Hudson's Bay will host Woodland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ridgefield, they will face off against Columbia River at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rapids will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Spudders surely won't give up without a fight.
