Softball Recap: Greene County Wildcats vs. Northeast Jones Tigers        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Greene County rose to the challenge  on Friday. They came out on top against the Northeast Jones Tigers by a score of  4-1. Winning may never get old, but Greene County sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
  Addie Tungett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Shanna Johnson, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Amiyah Garrett, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Greene County has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-12-1 record  this season. As for Northeast Jones, their loss  ended  an  11-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 19-5.
 As of now, neither Greene County nor Northeast Jones have any future games scheduled.
