Soccer Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

After flying high against Deer Park on Tuesday, Georgetown came back down to earth. The G-Men lost 9-0 to the Summit Country Day Silver Knights on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Georgetown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 469th, while Summit Country Day are ranked 112th).

Georgetown has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-2 record this season. As for Summit Country Day, the win got them back to even at 6-6-6.

Georgetown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summit Country Day, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Purcell Marian on the 21st.
