The Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks will head out on the road to challenge the Osceola Kowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Cornerstone Charter Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Windermere, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Cornerstone Charter Academy put the hurt on Windermere with a sharp 9-3 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Ducks, who have now won three games in a row.
Kaitlyn Tracy and Bekah Mitchell made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Tracy tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Mitchell pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Tracy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Tracy scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Mitchell went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Those runs marked the first that Tracy scored this season.

In other batting news, Olivia Nogueras was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Phillips, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Osceola, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Tohopekaliga on Tuesday as Osceola made off with an 11-3 win. Considering the Kowboys have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Destiny Ferrer was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Tenley Dawson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Osceola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tohopekaliga only posted an OBP of .296.
Osceola has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Cornerstone Charter Academy's record is now 6-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Cornerstone Charter Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Osceola struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Cornerstone Charter Academy took their victory against Osceola in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cornerstone Charter Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
