Baseball Recap: Jackson Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Miami Trace, Jackson was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Zane Trace Pioneers. The Ironman/Ironladies haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jackson got a massive performance out of Ryan Seimetz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those hits marked the first that Seimetz has got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bodhi Wolford, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Jackson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Zane Trace, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Coming up, Jackson will host McClain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ironman/Ironladies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Zane Trace, they are taking a road trip to challenge Piketon at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
