            Baseball Recap: Los Altos Eagles vs. Willow Glen Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Los Altos and Willow Glen squared off in some playoff action  on Wednesday, but Los Altos had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of  10-8. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this  match were averaging 3.93  runs allowed.
 Emmett Heath put in work no matter where he played. He  tossed four innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off only  two  hits. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  doubles and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Jagger Heath was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs.
Los Altos' defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Willow Glen, the  win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 23-6.
 Los Altos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Willow Glen, they have already played their next game,  a  3-2  loss against Carmel on the 30th.
