The Donna Klein Jewish Academy Eagles's game on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-55 victory over Highlands Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tal Kessous was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Matheson, who scored 13 points.
Donna Klein Jewish Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Highlands Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Donna Klein Jewish Academy and Sports Leadership & Management will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Sports Leadership & Management's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests. As for Highlands Christian, they will play host again and welcome FAU High, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
