There's no place like home for North Yarmouth Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lake Region Lakers on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

North Yarmouth Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 26-24.

Eleanor Zuiches paced North Yarmouth Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Zuiches got some help from Ivy Hach and her 11 assists. Zuiches was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

North Yarmouth Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Lake Region, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, North Yarmouth Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Wiscasset at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Region, they will head out on the road to challenge Bonny Eagle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
