DeWitt is 8-2 against Waverly since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. DeWitt will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

DeWitt had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Haslett on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Vikings. The Panthers have beaten the Vikings the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Waverly was able to grind out a solid win over Okemos on Monday, taking the game 4-1.

Nevaeh Larner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on McKenna Bensinger, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

DeWitt's victory bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Waverly, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-7.
